Account deletion
How to have your BonTrava account and data erased: who can ask, how long it takes, and what the law requires us to keep.
Translated from the French. Where the language versions differ, the French text prevails.

Who can ask
- The holder of a technician account, for their own account: they lose access to the application and their personal data is erased. The work orders they wrote stay (see below).
- The company's administrator, when they are its only active member, for the whole company: accounts, clients, sites, work orders, photos and signatures.
How to ask
From the application: Settings, then Data, then “Delete my account”. A code is sent to the account's address; you enter it with your email address to confirm. Erasure is immediate.
An administrator can delete the company only if they are its only active member — the others are disabled first, in Settings, then Team — and no paid subscription is running — it is cancelled first, in Settings, then Billing. A technician must first hand over to a colleague, or close, the work orders still open in their name (drafts and work orders in progress).
Failing that, or if you no longer have access to the account, the request is made in writing, from the Contact page of the site (/contact) or by email sent from the address of the account concerned. To exercise this right: info@everbright.be. No data protection officer has been appointed; the processing does not require one..
We reply to check your identity — a request from an address other than the account's is not carried out without that check — and confirm in writing when the erasure is done.
What is erased, and when
From the application, erasure from the database is immediate. On a written request, it takes place within 30 days at the latest after your identity has been checked.
- A technician's account: the account and the sign-in email address, including any passkeys (the address and the name are erased and the record no longer allows any sign-in), their open sessions on the web and on the phone, and their registered notification tokens.
- A deleted company, in addition: the team's accounts, the clients, the sites, the work orders, the catalogues, and all photos and signatures on the work orders.
What is kept
- Accounting records (credit purchases, payments): 7 years, as Belgian law requires. For a deleted company this includes its name, address and VAT number, which say who was invoiced.
- For a technician who deletes their account: the work orders they wrote, with their photos and signature. They stay with the client who signed them and in the company's books, reading “Deleted account” (translated into the language of the document) in place of their name.
- Any other data the law obliges us to keep, for the period it sets.
- Technical logs: 90 days, in which email addresses and phone numbers are hashed.
- Encrypted backups, until they are replaced by more recent ones; erased data is never restored into the service from them.
Before you ask
A full export of your data is available at any time, without writing to us: Settings, then Data. Do it before erasing, because erasure is final. The privacy policy details the retention periods and your other rights.
